B.C.L. (Trinity 1979)
Paul is also a University College Cork graduate obtaining his B.C.L. in 1977 and took his Solicitors lectures at Earlsfort Terrace to qualify in Trinity of 1979. Like his partners he was also apprenticed at 9 South Mall, where he went on to become a partner in the firm in 1986. As a court oriented Solicitor, with an emphasis on personal injury defence work, Paul has continued the firm’s association with the transport industry and acts for both semi-state and private companies in the transport sector, where he prosecutes offenders for statutory infringements. He has diversified and expanded his practice to include Family and Employment Law. A former president of the Southern Law Association he also served for a number of years on the Council of the Law Society.
John P. Murphy
B.C.L. (Hilary 1984)
John qualified from University College Cork in 1980. He was one of the first students to attend the Law Society’s new School at Blackhall Place and qualified in Hilary of 1984. While serving his apprenticeship with Philip Wm. Bass he immersed himself in general practice and went on to specialise in commercial and domestic property law; however he complements his personal conveyancing portfolio with a strong plaintiff practice. He also has an extensive probate, tax and licencing practice.
